My fir...Orcs and Goblins in 8th are pretty badass. My first few games have been against all Gobbo armies with lots of hordes, netters and spears - you are right on when you say they are a hard nut to crack.

I've been running an all foot WoC force in place of my foot/mounted I used to run. With the extra rank attacks I get now, giving a unit extra hand weapons and mark of Khorne, with a kitted up lord means I am fair dirty in a fight. The shear number of Gobbos in an all gobbo list means that weight of numbers starts to tell in protracted combats.

My very first game I played under the new ed, I thumped an Orc force by holing up in a tower - not exactly heroic but with the higher initiative, bundle of decent strength attacks, and the 'only 10 models can fight at a time when assaulting a building' rule, it was a pretty good day out for the mini's.

Magics been a bit so-so but that is down to randmoness - which as you highlight, adds an extra something to the game I think.Rogue Pomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09498547862428773604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8728313260302675808.post-59953373501768243002010-09-25T23:44:19.303-05:002010-09-25T23:44:19.303-05:00Ohh I haven't played against a WOC army yet in...Ohh I haven't played against a WOC army yet in the new rules, oh I bet they are just nasty!!!BJhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18392265613551149975noreply@blogger.com
